42,980 polling stations out of 46,229 had submitted the forms as of Wednesday morning.
IEBC however clarified, during the launching of the national tallying centre on Tuesday, that the forms are only for the presidential tallies.
The commission further noted that they do not have the physical copies of the form 34A’s as the submissions were received as images from County Returning Officers (CRO’s).
Presiding officers in all polling stations were needed to first take photos of their from 34A’s using the KEIMS kit and they transfer that image in a three way transmission:
It starts from the constituency Returning Officer then to the County Returning Officer then to the National Portal which is at the IEBC nerve centre at the Bomas of Kenya.
