Turn out 100pc to vote for Azimio on August 9,Karua urges kenyans

By CORRESPONDENT,29TH JUNE,2022-Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Deputy Presidential Candidate Martha Karua on Wednesday held a Town Hall meeting with residents of Homa Bay County where she drummed up support for the coalition ahead of the August election.

Karua called the area residents to turn up in large numbers and vote for the Odinga-Karua ticket in the elections.

She exuded confidence that this time around Odinga would ascend to power, noting that the former prime minister has much more support across the country.

Raila Odinga has given me an opportunity to serve in the presidency. But this honour is waiting for your authorization. And your authorization is to give baba all your votes. We are not there yet. We must get every vote out. It is our responsibility to reach out to your partner, friend, and neighbour and have all votes given to Raila Odinga on August 8th for him to get to State House,” said Karua.

Karua noted that their joint ticket is more favourable and would see Odinga get more support in the vote-rich Mt. Kenya region.

Every time you have supported him but this time round it is the whole country supporting him. In Mt. Kenya, we never used to give Raila many votes but this time around he will get the votes. This is a joint ticket. If you vote for Raila you have voted for Martha, if you vote for Karua you have voted for Raila. And the whole country is eyeing that ticket so that we can streamline this country,” he said.

Karua was received in the county by Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Owiti, Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga and Senator Moses Kajwang.

She held a series of rallies in Homa Bay town, Oyugis before proceeding to Kisii County.
