BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,19TH JUNE,2022-246 people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 2,484 tested in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health says the positivity rate is now at 9.9pc.
Total confirmed cases are 329,353 while 202 patients have recovered from the disease pushing the total number of recoveries to 320,566.
In terms of County distribution; Nairobi 191, Nyeri 17, Kiambu 9, Kitui 7, Garissa 6, Mombasa 4, Murang’a 3, Kisumu 2, Nakuru 2, Busia, Kisii, Kwale, Siaya and Turkana 1 case each.
Distribution of positive cases by age is as follows; 0-9 years (15), 10-19 years (13), 20-29 years (40), 30-39 (61), 40-49 (59) 50- 59 (27), 60 years and above (51).
No death was reported hence the death toll remains at 5,651.
Meanwhile, 77 patients are currently admitted to our health facilities, while 3,059 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
One patient is in the Intensive Care Unit on ventilator support, while 10 are in General Wards on supplemental oxygen.
