BY CORRESPONDENT,NAROK,3RD JUNE,2022-Seven people have been confirmed dead following a grisly accident which occurred on Narok Bomet road on Friday Morning. Confirming the incident ,Police commander Narok North Fred Shiundu said the accident which happened at Governors area of Narok at around 11:45 am, involved motor vehicle registration numbers KCG 773Y/ZF 6449 make Mercedes Actros trailer which was being driven by a driver identified as Moses Kibiti aged about 45 and another motor vehicle registration no. KDE 141H Toyota Hiace belonging to Ena coach which was being driven by one Joshua Tindi aged about 40yrs.
Police report seen by Upesi News indicated that the accident happened when the driver of Mercedes Actros trailer was driving it from Narok towards Bomet general direction and upon reaching the location of the accident he had a front right tyre burst thereby loosing control and thus hitting the Matatu going the opposite direction.

As a result of the accident, the PSV matatu was extremely damaged and injuries reported as follows: 7 fatalities and 5 seriously injured casualties. The 5 identified fatalities are as follows; 1. Joshua Tindi (driver of the PSV Matatu) 2.
Alfred Ogwoka, 3. Linda Moraa Okeiga aged 31, 4. Welmah Binsari Mirwoba 35 yrs, and 5. Chris Machuka with two (2) female adult bodies unidentified. Other five (5) casualties are as follows; 1.Moses Kibiti Mariuki aged 30 (driver of the trailer) suffered head and both hands injuries 2. Sharon Kerubo aged 25 suffered head and both legs injuries 3.
Michael Mwangi aged 30 suffered both legs fracture 4. Jesse Wainaina aged 40 suffered head and both legs injuries 5. Asenath Kwamboka aged 20 suffered head and both hands injuries. The scene was visited by SCPC Narok central Mr Siundu, IP Ochieng’ OC Traffic Narok and other officers. Bodies of those who perished have been moved to Narok county referral hospital mortuary and victims rushed to the same facility where they are receiving treatment.
