Kalonzo joins Raila on the Campaign trail In Embakasi moments after rejoining Azimio, Vow To Work Together

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,2ND JUNE,20222-Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party flagbearer Raila Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday held a campaign rally in Mukuru Kwa Njenga in Embakasi soon after Kalonzo made a U-turn to Azimio.

The two leaders jointly agreed to set aside their differences to battle it out with their Kenya Kwanza opponents in the August polls as they exhibited confidence in clinching the seat.

Odinga in his welcoming speech said that the re-union would see the Azimio camp floor the Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza coalition in the forthcoming August elections.

The Wiper leader on his part acknowledged the long friendship between him and the ODM leader saying that he had shelved his ambition to consolidate support for the Azimio coalition to secure victory come August.

He reassured that together they would traverse the nation and would work together to ensure Azimio ascended to power and residents of the slum acquire decent housing.

Odinga and Kalonzo were accompanied by other Azimio-allied leaders who drummed up support for the coalition ahead ahead of the August elections.

Kalonzo had ditched the Azimio coalition two weeks ago after Odinga failed to appoint him as his running mate, instead settling for NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua.
