DCI unleashes pictures of women who have been working with Samuel Mugoh Muvota in drugging male revelers

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,20TH MAY,2022-The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released the photographs of 12 women said to be part of a larger criminal syndicate whose modus operandi involves drugging gullible male revelers before emptying their bank and mobile money accounts.

According to the DCI, the women would identify their targets based on the brands of drinks that they ordered, their dress code and even the cars that they drove. They would specifically single out affluent looking middle-aged men popularly known as ‘Wababas’ in the hopes of landing a big score.

Most of these women, the DCI added, have had run-ins with the law but have evaded prosecution, with their now deceased benefactor and boss Samuel Mugoh Muvota bailing them out on a number of occasions.

Muvota is said to have approached victims duped by the syndicate and refunded their money to avoid court cases.

However, most of these cases often went unreported since the drugged men are mainly married and respectable people in society who wouldn’t wish to let out the skeletons in their cupboards,” said the DCI.

Muvota was shot and killed in broad daylight along Mirema drive in Nairobi on Monday after allegedly falling out with his second-in-command, Dennis Karani Gachoki, who is currently at large.

“With Muvota gone, the Pishori empire has been left without a leader. Most of the women have left the city in droves to their rural areas, from where they are monitoring how things unfold. They better get used to life in the village because it will not be business as usual in the city,” said the DCI.

Bar owners have been advised to be on the lookout for suspicious women looking to drug and rob their customers and to report them to the nearest police station.
