BY UPESINEWS CORRESPONDENT,NAROK,14TH MAY,2022-Leaders allied to Kenya Kwanza have urged the DCI to give nominated MP David Sankok and family time to mourn their son who allegedly shot himself dead at their home in Ewuaso Ng’iro in Narok South two weeks ago.
Speaking during the funeral ceremony held at Enkare Ng’iro primary school grounds in Narok the leaders led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Narok Governor Samuel Tunai among others condoled condoled the family for the loss.
Murkomen was at hand to read DP William Ruto’s condolence speech to the family describing the late Memusi as brilliant and hard working young man.
DP Ruto was unable to attend the funeral ceremony as he was holed up at his Karen residence where he was expected to unveil his running mate.
Murkomen assured Kenyans all is well as far as the naming of DP Ruto’s running mate was concerned saying they will support whoever is chosen, sentiments echoed by Governor Sang.
Other leaders present included Former CAS Patrick ole Ntutu, Emurrur Dikir Mp Johana Ngeno and Kajiado West Mp George Sunkuyia.
According to a second autopsy, Sankok’s son, Hillary Memusi Sankok, died as a result of a single gunshot to the head.
Chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor who conducted the post-mortem at the Umash funeral home in Nakuru said that the initial procedure conducted on May 3 had failed to establish the kind of firearm it was used and the range.
According to Dr Oduor the procedure established that it was a contact wound adding that the firearm which was used was a shotgun.
