Kenya records 54 new COVID19 cases as positivity rate now stands at 1.0%

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,11TH FEB,2022-Kenya recorded 54 new COVID19 cases on Friday  11th ,Feb,2022 , from a sample size of 5,578 tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is now at 1.0%. Total confirmed positive cases are now 322,388 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3,284,296.

A total of 211 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 1,441 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

5 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 4 of them on ventilatory support and 1 on supplemental oxygen.

Another 58 patients are on supplemental oxygen, 55 of them are in the general wards. Three patients are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

 

VACCINATION: As of February 10th 2022, a total of 14,748,107 vaccines have been administered across the country; 7,251,045 are partially vaccinated & 6,757,152 fully vaccinated. Another 525,248 are doses administered to those between 15 to 17 years & 214,662 are booster doses.
