BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,8TH JAN,2022-Meru senator Mithuka Linturi has come under sharp criticism following words he altered at the political rally organized by deputy president William Ruto in Eldoret on Saturday. The senator is reported to have used coded language to refer to a group of people who are deemed to be opposing the deputy president in Uasin Gishu county politically. Here is the statement from Linturi.

Reacting on the unfortunate statement David Osiany CAS (Deputy Minister), Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Dev’t said such words should be condemned in the strongest terms possible.
This comes even as the office of public prosecution confirmed that thy have begun investigations into the utterances with the possibility of prosecuting the senator.
The Director Of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has confirmed that his office has commenced investigations into Mithika Linturi’s “Madoadoa” remark that has a potential of sparking ethnic conflict.
