Arrest looming for Nyali MP Mohamed Ali after a warrant of arrest issued against him

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,2ND NOV,2021-A warrant of arrest has been issued against Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali for failing to appear in court on October 4, 2021.

The MP was required to present himself in court after Nordin Hassan Abdalla alias Kamanda, a terror suspect for whom he stood as a surety, jumped bail.

Abdalla was charged with the offence of being in possession of radicalization articlesHe denied the charges before a Kwale court and was released on bail with MP Mohamed Ali alias Jicho Pevu offering to stand as a surety for the accused.

The accused was arrested in 2019 at Shimoni area in Kwale while conducting recruitment and radicalization of local youth into the Islamic State and was later released on bond.

He is believed to be an associate of Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara an IS operative who was filmed in June 2021 conducting beheading in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
