Daniel Musinga takes oath of office as Court of Appeal President

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,11TH JUNE,2021-Justice Daniel Musinga has officially  taken  an oath of office and assumed his office  as the President of the Court of Appeal.

Justice Musinga took the oath in the event attended by among others,chief justice Martha Kome,LSK chair Nelson Havi, outgoing president of the court of appeal justice William Ouko among others.

Musinga was elected on May 24 by the Appeal judges to replace Justice William Ouko who was is the judge of the Supreme Court.

Musinga was appointed as the chairman of the Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) in January this year, a position that he took over from the High Court judge Msagha Mbogholi.

President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed Ouko as a Judge of the Supreme Court after the Judicial Service Commission nominated him in a successful competitive exercise.

Ouko replaced Justice Jackton Ojwang who retired in February last year.
