Kenya records 1530 new COVID19 cases as 12 more patients succumbs

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,30TH MARCH,2021-Kenya has reported 1,530 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 8,010.

The country’s positivity rate stands at 19. 1 per cent.

In a statement on Tuesday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said that from the new cases, 1,468 are Kenyans while 62 are foreigners. 82 are males and 688 are females.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 132,646 while the total cumulative tests are 1,480,240.

The CS said that 129 people have recovered from the disease, out of which 74 are from the Home-Based Isolation and Care while 55 are from various health facilities.

The total recoveries now stand at 92,290.

Also, 12 more people have succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours pushing cumulative fatalities to 2, 147 hours.
