BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,25TH MARCH,2021-Harambee Stars will be taking Egypt in an African Cup of Nation Qualifier at the MISC Kasarani today from 7pm.

Stars know that anything less than a win will be detrimental for their qualification hopes with the Jacob Mulee side currently sitting third in Group G that has Comoros and Togo as their other opponents.

Having omitted some of the notable names in his latest squad, Mulee will hope that his newly assembled team gives him the performance that he soo much need in their last two games.

In the absence of keeper, Arnold Origi, Zesco United’s Ian Otieno is expected to slot in the goal where he will depend on the defence of Daniel Sakari (who is celebrating his birthday today), Johnston Omurwa, Joash Onyango and Eric Ouma.

Kaizer Chiefs’ Anthony Akumu and Lusaka Dynamos Duncan Otieno should play in a double pivot with Sofapaka’s Lawrence Juma tasked with doing the donkey work in midfield. Right-wing should be occupied by Cliff Nyakeya and to cushion the attack expected to be given by the Egyptians on the left-wing, KCB’s David Owino should be thrown in to help Ouma.

Harambee Stars Probable Starting XI: Ian Otieno (GK), Daniel Sakari, Johnstone Omurwa, J. Onyango, Eric Ouma, Anthony Akumu, Lawrence Juma, Duncan Otieno, Cliff Nyakeya, David Owino, Michael Olunga
