19 more die as Kenya records 1048 new COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,20TH NOV,2020-Kenya has  recorded more than 1,000 Covid-19 cases from samples tested in the last 24 hours.

A total of 1,048 people have been confirmed Covid-19 positive from a sample size of 8,660, bringing the total number of positive cases in the country to 75,193 and the cumulative tests now stands at 873,700.

From the cases, 1,018 are Kenyans and 30 are foreigners.

Gender wise, 594 are males and 454 are females. The youngest is a year-old baby, while the oldest is 90 years old.

Meanwhile, another 326 patients have recovered from the disease, 219 from the home-based care programme while 107 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 50,984.

However, another 19 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the fatality to 1,349.
