BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,26TH SEPT,2020-Manchester United registered their first Premier League win of the 2020/21 season as the visitors secured a 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex stadium.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer initially made three changes to his start lineup as he dropped Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Scott McTominay and Daniel James for this away fixture.
The Red Devils struggled to find their pace in the first half and it proved detrimental when Neal Maupay converted the penalty through Bruno Fernandes’ foul on Tariq Lamptey.
The lead instantly changed the hosts dynamic and they continued to take control of their game and not giving United any room.
However, United managed to go into half time with an equaliser through skipper Harry Maguire in the 43rd minute.
Marcus Rashford scored in the 55th minute go give the visitors the lead once more but Brighton were not going to allow that and Solly March eventually levelled matters in injury time.
In dramatic fashion as per football, United were handed a late penalty through a handball by Maupay and Bruno Fernandes crushed Brighton’s dreams at the last minute and three points in the bag for Solskjaer’s charges.
Manchester United will host Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League game on October
