Mombasa law courts closed after 11 members of staff test positive for COVID19

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,19TH JUNE,2020-Chief Justice David Maraga has with immediate effect announced the closure of all Mombasa law courts after 11 members of staff out the 150 tested positive for COVID19.In a statement sent to newsrooms of Friday evening,Maraga said that the affected staff include judicial officers and registry staff .

The statement further said additionally ,their primary contacts within the courts totaling 118 have been ordered to self quarantine for the next 14 days .

The affected courts are the main court building,the city court and the Tononoka children’s court.

In the view of the above development,Maraga has assured all those seeking court services not to worry since their is an elaborate plan in place to continue rendering the same services online and virtually.
