BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,12TH DEC 2019-The National Transport and Safety Authority has suspended the Modern Coast Bus license after two of the company’s buses collided head on Thursday Morning killing 7 people.
The authority’s director general George Njao said the suspension comes after an early morning accident which killed five and injured 62 others after two of its buses collided .
In a statement on its Facebook page on Thursday, December 12, the safety authority said the company’s access to the NTSA portal has also been deactivated to limit any activities on its 88 vehicles. “Following the early Thursday morning crash involving two of their buses, the authority has with immediate effect suspended the company’s operator’s license and initiated a thorough investigation into its safety standards and operations.
