Jubilee MPs say they are in full support of implementation of the BBI report

BY DPPS, THARAKA  NITHI ,7TH DEC 2019– Jubilee MPs have said they are in full support of the implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

 

They said the entire Jubilee Party and it’s leadership supported the implementation of the BBI recommendations as part of the efforts to unite the country.

 

The legislators included Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki (Senate), Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen (Senate), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Mugambi Rindikiri (Buuri), Faith Gitau (Women Rep, Nyandarua), Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East), Gitonga Murugara (Tharaka), Kareke Mbiuki (Maara) and Patrick Munene (Chuka/Igamban’gombe.

 

The MPs said they have publicly supported the report and wondered why the Opposition was creating confusion.

 

They said it was the Opposition who were opposed to the document by creating roadblocks in its implementation.

 

Dr Kindiki and Mr Murkomen said would implement the BBI report in whichever way so long as it was not altered.

 

“We support the BBI report and we will accept whichever way it will be implemented,” said Mr Kindiki.

 

They made the remarks at Ndagani Catholic Church in Tharaka Nithi County, during women’s’ empowerment programmes, on Saturday.

 

Deputy President William Ruto was also present.
