Votes counting gets underway in Kibra after a whole day voting with Imran Okoth taking an early lead followed by Jubilee’s MC Donald Mariga

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,7TH NOV 2019-After a whole day voting in Kibra constituency ,ballot counting got underway shortly after 6pm.The constituency has  a total of 183 poling stations with IEBC  clerks receiving results from all the stations before listing them on form 135A.

Until the time of going on press ODM’s  Imran Okoth had taken an early lead followed by Jubilee’s Mc Donald Mariga with Divid Owalo of ANC coming in third.

The by-election kicked off at 6am with several reported cases of chaos in the constituency .

3 people were arrested after they were allegedly found bribing voters – Jubilee and ODM leaders traded barbs accusing each other of electoral malpractices including – Raila Odinga, Imran Okoth and ANC’s Eliud Owalo were among voters who casted their votes in the hotly contested by-election.

As at 9pm the results that we had captured are as follows:
