BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,18TH SEPT 2019-Controversial musician Esther Akoth aka Akothee caused drama at Parliament buildings on Wednesday afternoon after showed up at the National Assembly dressed in a mini skirt which is considered highly inappropriate.
Akothee wanted to gain access to the mini dining used by parliamentarians for a meeting with nominated MP David Sankok but the sergeant-at-arms declined since she was dressed in a mini-skirt.
The singer caused a scene insisting that she would not cover her luminous green skirt suit.
It was female MPs Soipan Tuya and Racheal Nyamai who came to intervene before Akothe agreed to cover herself.
In a video capturing the drama she was heard joking that the problem was her legs being long and not the size of the skirt
“The problem is that my legs are longer than the skirt” Akothee said after the meeting with Sankok.
The musician had to Parliament to lobby for the launch of her foundation.
