BY ANN MUNENE ,NAIROBI,9TH JULY 2019-Lawyer and businessman Karanja Kabage died out of cardiac arrest. This is according to a post-mortem conducted on his body. The autopsy was conducted in the presence of the police and his family at the Lee Funeral Home, on Saturday.
The family through its spokesman affirmed that they were satisfied with the outcome of the autopsy.
On the day he was confirmed dead,Police had announced that the deceased could have suffered a heart attack after they collected samples of vomit from his four-wheel drive car.
The incident happened on Friday last week along the Southern Bypass near Kibera, Nairobi, as he drove towards Karen at about 10 pm.
A team sent to assess the scene said they collected vomit from his car. This supports their theory of the heart attack.
Witnesses told police that Kabage’s vehicle veered off the road along the Southern Bypass, slowed down and appeared to be making a u-turn before slightly hitting the pavement.
His vehicle was slightly damaged and he was talking when he was found on Friday night.
Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai gave details on how Kabage asked to be taken to The Nairobi hospital, where he arrived unconscious.
Efforts by doctors to resuscitate him proved futile as he was later pronounced dead.
