BY KORIR JUMA,10TH JUNE,2019-Detectives from the Directorate of criminal investigation (DCI ) Monday afternoon arrested Nandi Governor Stephen Sang over the destruction of Kibwari tea estate, which is said to be on a grabbed piece of land.His arrest is as a result of the ongoing investigation into the stale mate.
Detectives roughed up and bundled the governor into their car as his supporters watched.
Police lobbed teargas to disperse the protesting crowd that had followed Mr Sang as he headed to Kapsabet Police Station to record a statement.
Due to threats from his supporters ,police had to be taken to Kisumu on security grounds,this is because the fear that his charged supporters could have resulted to engaging police in running battles .
