Sad:A disabled woman raped,murdered in Machakos

BY CORRESPONDENT,16TH MAY 2019-Police are investigating an  incident  in which a disabled woman in Machakos was raped before been murdered.

The  body of the victim a 37-year-old woman who lived alone in Kalama Location, was found naked on her bed on Wednesday morning.

Police suspect she was raped before her crutches were inserted into her private parts.

Police report seen by UpesiNews indicate that , Esther Wavinya Mwanthi’s half-naked body was found by her relatives who live in the same compound whom  then alerted the area chief.

The body was moved to the Machakos Level Five Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination as police investigate the bizarre murder.

This incident happens just days  after  another lifeless body of a 24-year-old prison warder was on Wednesday morning found inside her house in Kiharu estate, Murang’a County.Until her death, Pauline Wangari Ngoi, whose body had multiple stab wounds, was working  at the Muranga GK Prison.

Her body was found without clothes and her bedding soaked in blood.A roll of bhang was also placed between her lips, with a kitchen knife in her right hand.

CCTV footage  captured prior to the incident shows a middle-aged man with a tattoo on his neck entering her house at 9pm on Monday and leaving on Tuesday at 3am.

The footage further shows the man leaving the house while carrying a TV set, a large bag, and a mobile phone.

In another case reported on Monday, residents of Limuru woke up to shocking the discovery of the body of a man who had been sodomised and dumped in a forest.Residents narrated how it is common to hear people screaming at night.

“One might think those screaming are drunkards but it is people who are being attacked but we fear to get out because you never know if it a person in distress or not,” said Grace Wanjiru.

They now wants the government to increase security in the area.
