State house breaks silence on president Uhuru’s whereabouts,says he is in the country and undertaking his duties

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,13TH MAY 2019-State House  has finally spoken on the whereabouts of president Uhuru Kenyatta just a day after Kenyans went to social media to question where the head of state has been.State house  Spokesperson Kanze Dena says the President  is in the country and undertaking his normal official duties.In her statement during an interview aired on Radio Maisha,Kanze pledged to do more in informing the public about his activities.

She further added  that President Kenyatta was doing  fine, healthy and busy working despite his absence from the public limelight.

“I get surprised when people say that the president has gone missing in action. President Kenyatta has been in office addressing various issues and also meditating. The Head of State is fine, healthy and in high spirits as usual,” she stated.

Kanze who revealed that  President  Uhuru has been spending time in his office since his return from China, admitted that there have been lapses in communication from her office but stated that she will make things right.

“The President is around, it doesn’t mean that because he is not seen in public he is not there, he has an office where he goes every day and he is working on several things,” she said.

She indicated that the Head of State is always engaged in a number of activities including a meeting with executives from the Global Fund.

Kenyans have been questioning Kanze who is the head of presidential strategic communication unit why he had remained silence while the president goes missing.
