Huduma Namba registration exercise to now start at 6am to 6pm as the process enters homestretch -CS Matiang’i

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,13TH MAY 2019-Interior  cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi has announced that the ongoing  electronic registration of persons (NIMIS) also known as Huduma Namba  exercise will now start at 6am until 6pm.Matiang’i said this on Monday in his office while giving an update of the process since it started.

The change in timelines is aimed at ensuring that as many Kenyans as possible register  as the official period for registration comes to an end.

The exercise which begun mid last month is expected to come to an end  on 17 Th of May 2019.

The government has ruled out any possibility of extending the registration exercise. Mataingi has also revealed that so far 31 million Kenyans have been registered.He urged those who have not registered to spear a minute and undertake the important step to register.
