BY UPESINEWS REPORTER,NAIROBI,13TH MAY 2019– Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested 15 suspects linked to fake gold syndicate in a residential house in Kileleshwa, Nairobi. This is after the detectives raided a house believed to belong to a prominent personality in Kileleshwa in the ongoing probe into scandal.
Police say they are yet to establish the owner of the house at Kaputei Gardens off Othaya Road which is usually guarded by GSU officers.
DCI George Kinoti says eight vehicles were seized in the compound. Also recovered are boxes used to keep the fake gold.
“This is a major racket which we must dismantle,” Kinoti said adding: “This raid is just one of the many to come.”
Of concern to the officers according to Kinoti is to particularly establish the owner of the house because of the heavy security deployed to there.
