Emergency: panic as KQ flight to Mombasa makes an emergency landing

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,10TH MAY 2019-There was panic on Friday morning  among passengers on board  Kenya Airways flight after the flight  headed to Mombasa from Nairobi on Friday  was forced to make an emergency landing.

Upesinews has reliably established that   KQ604 had just taken off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when it was hit by a bird strike.

Information on  KQ website indicate that  the Embraer aircraft took off at 10:11am.

The bird strike is reported to have caused an engine glitch that forced the pilot to turn back to JKIA for repair.

The plane which was carrying an unknown number of passengers was expected to land in Mombasa at 10:56am.

No injuries were reported.
