Verdict: Court rules that Ivy Wangeci’s murder suspect Naftali Kinuthia will remain in custody for a month

BY CORRESPONDENT,ELDORET,9TH MAY 2019-The main suspect in the murder of  Moi University student Ivy Wangeci   Naftali Kinuthia will  remain in remand for another month.

During the bail application ruling on Thursday, Eldoret High Court judge Stephen Githinji directed that Kinuthia be remanded until the probation officer’s report is presented in court.

Kinuthia, through his lawyer Mbiu Kamau, had urged the court to release him on bond arguing that he would not interfere with the case or abscond court.

However ,Justice Githinji , declined to release him on bond or bail.

Kinuthia  is accused of hacking Ivy Wangeci with an axe on April 9 outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.He has  since pleaded  not guilty
