BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,27TH SEPT,2018-Any school caught engaging in  exam malpractices will be shut with immediate effect.The Kenya National examination council has warned.With the start of this year’s national examinations just a month away Education principal secretary Dr Belio Kipsang  says the all invigilators  ,candidates as well as exam centers  found to be opening exams papers  before the set time  will be prosecuted.

He added that nobody will be spared for tampering with exams credibility.On his part KNEC chairman professor George Magoha confirmed  that   two school principals from Garrissa county  were being investigated for  buying exam papers.

To ensure that exams are done in a credible environment education ministry has banned all prayer events for candidates as well as tuition or any other activity that will involve people from outside schools during this period.

Kipsang further added that funds meant to purchase  exams materials  will be distributed in schools starting this coming Monday.
