BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,22ND SEPT,2018-The government seems to be keen on ensuring that contraband goods are completely wiped off the shelves in the country if the latest move is anything to go by.
On Saturday over 30 top Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) officials were arrested.
Upon their arrest they were taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi for questioning .
WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE has established that the officials are being grilled over allegations of allowing contraband and contaminated goods into the country.
This comes two months after the cabinet secretary for interior Fred Matiangi declared war on contraband goods in the country.
