Migori governor Okoth Obado to spend weekend in police custody as police intensify probe into the murder of Sharon Otieno

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,21ST SEPT 2018-Migori Governor Okoth Obado  will spend a weekend in police custody  after he was arrested in the ongoing investigations to establish who killed Rongo university student Sharon Otieno.

Obado was arrested Friday after being questioned by detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters  On Kiambu Road.

A senior detective at the DCI headquarters stated that the governor who was accompanied by his lawyers was summoned in the morning to clarify several issues emerging in the ongoing investigations.

A DNA test conducted on him matched the baby Sharon was carrying.

Obado’s Personal Assistant Michael Oyamo and three other suspects are still in police custody and are set to appear in court next week to plead to murder charges.

Obado is expected  be arraigned in court on Monday.
