BY SAMSON MBII,NAIROBI,20TH SEPT 2018-Kenya has gone up five places in latest FIFARanking, and now ranked 107th following the Harambee Stars’ 1-0 victory over Ghana in 2019 African cup on Nations qualifier match.
Stars have moved from 112th position to 107th globally in the latest Rankings. Belgium and France are jointly on top of the world in the first-ever scenario. Sebastian Migne’s side registered two straight wins during the international break where both matches were staged at MISC Kasarani Stadium.
The first match saw Harambee Stars register a shock win over Ghana in an African Cup of Nations qualifier which was followed by a 1-0 victory over Malawi in a friendly match.
In the Cecafa region, Uganda is still at the top followed by Kenya, with Sudan occupying the 3rd position(132nd World Ranking). Rwanda is fourth and 137th in the world then Tanzania wraps up the top five at 140th place in the world
