BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,8TH SEPT 2018-Political Leaders  as well as Kenyans have continued to condole with the family of the late  Former Education Permanent Secretary (PS) George Godia who  died at his Nairobi home after a short illness on Saturday.

Deputy president William Ruto and the leader of majority Aden Duale are among political leaders who have send their condolences massage following the demise if professor Godia.

In his message on his twitter account deputy president William Ruto  Prof Godia  was a distinguished scholar and diplomat, who advanced Kenya’s interests in the international arena. The country is grateful to him for his meticulous service and dedication.

Before his death Professor Godia had also just completed his term as Kenya’s ambassador to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco).

He joined the  Ministry of Education in 2004 to take up a newly-created position of Education secretary. He later rose to become the PS, replacing Prof James ole Kiyiapi, who resigned to contest for the presidency in 2013.

He was also a high school teacher and taught Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi at Nairobi School as well as Leader of Majority Aden Duale.
