BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,4TH SEPT 2018-Parents and candidates have been urged to be on the alert and not fall in the hands of people selling fake exams papers Ahead of this year’s national exams scheduled to begin next month.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) chairman George Magoha on Tuesday said that fake examination materials are now in circulation.
Prof Magoha added that some principals are collecting money to buy the papers for as much as Sh10,000.
“Those that will be found will be penalised, ” said prof Magoha during brief for those who will be involved in the administration of exams at Pangani Girls’ School.
On her part Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed warned that those involved in the buying and selling of the fake papers will be punished.
Teachers Service Commission has also added its voice in the matters with head of staffing Rita Wahome saying teachers who will be found aiding any manner of exams cheating will not be speared .
