It will be remembered that in February 2016, www.upesinews.co.ke reported about a dossier inform of an affidavit that Kabura filed in court implicating Governor Waiguru who by then was the cabinet secretary for devolution and other senior government officials of masterminding the alleged theft of Ksh.791 million from NYS through questionable tenders.
This prompted the EACC to summon Waiguru and other officials mentioned in the affidavit to record their statements.
Ms. Waiguru was later cleared of any wrongdoing in the NYS scandal, with EACC writing to Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua informing him that it did not find any evidence to warrant her prosecution.
“Regrettably, two and half years later, the commission is yet to communicate to our client the outcome of the investigations nor inform the members of the public on the veracity of the allegations made by Ms. Josephine Kabura,” reads part of the letter dated August 23, 2018.
Waiguru y says she has severally asked EACC to publicly release the outcome of its investigations into Kabura’s affidavit but the commission is yet to honour her demands.
“his is my 5th letter in the last three years to EACC requesting them to make public the findings on the investigation of the Kabura affidavit”.she said on her Twitter handle on Sunday.
