BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,15TH AUG 2018-President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to establish an independent commission that will investigate the contraband sugar saga.
In a press statement to the media ANC leader Musalia mudavadi,Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula and Cabinet secreatry Eugene Wamalwa wants the president to overlook parliament in forming the commission.
The three leaders say they have no faith in the current parliament to conduct an independent probe into the issue.
They urge that the current parliament is compromised beyond imagination especially after reports that members of parliament were bribed to have the report of investigation that was carried out by the agriculture committee edited.
