Safaricom employee denies SIM card related fraud charges

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,24TH JULY 2018-Maurice Michael Mosoti,who is a Safaricom employee was on Tuesday   charged  with conspiracy to commit a felony.This is after he  was arrested in a SIM swap related allegations.

He arraigned  before Nairobi before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi at the Milimani Law Courts pleading to one count of conspiracy to commit a felony.

He denied the charges.

According to the charge sheet, it is alleged that on May 30, 2018 with others not before court, Mosoti conspired to commit a felony; namely stealing Ksh.472,006.96 property of Safaricom Limited.

Mosoti was released on a bond of Ksh.200,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh.100,000 pending hearing and determination of the case.
