Armed gangs hijack Two Matatus in Nairobi

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,13TH JUNE 2018-Two matatu were on Tuesday night hijacked in separate incidents in Nairobi and passengers robbed of their cash and valuables in Nairobi.
According to Nairobi Police boss Joseph Ole Tito group of two gangs are behind both incidents with the first matatu having been attacked along Mombasa Road after it had picked up passengers at Taj Mall while headed for the CBD.
“It was a very unfortunate incident and I have given instructions to my officers to look for the driver and conductor of the vehicle so that they may help us with investigations,” he stated.
He further revealed that another bus was attacked along Lanthies Road and the crew robbed of their valuables and cash.
Oletito says so far no arrest has been made even as investigations continue.
