BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,30TH MAY 2018-President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that the national government will spend KSH 4 Billion in  repairing roads in Nairobi.

Speaking at the Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi  East constituency on Wednesday, the president said the repair works will begin in Eastlands area of the city before moving to other parts of the country.

The head of state however warned lazy and corrupt engineers that they will not be tolerated.”Even as we allocate this money  towards the roads those engineers working on this roads must ensure that they are responsible and do the works as expected,we will be around to monitor works ourselves”.he said.

The president was categorical that this time round they will be held personally responsible unlike similar previous project where Ksh 3.2 billion was set aside but there was no much that came out of it.
