Carry your own cross,President Uhuru tells corrupt civil servants

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,30TH MAY 2018-President Uhuru Kenyatta has told public officials who are engaged in corruption in the country that they will be dealt with personally.

The president who spoke during a title deeds issuing  ceremony in Embakasi’s jacaranda grounds told off those who engage in corruption deals stealing public resources and end up inciting their communities that they were being finished.”If you are corrupt carry your own cross ,don’t bring in your community it is you who is corrupt”.he said.The president reiterated his earlier position that his government will not relent in war on corruption,adding that nobody will be spared irrespective of their political,tribal and religious grounds.

The president ordered that roads constructions be given priority starting with those in Nairobi.He said the government has set aside 4 billion shillings to be used in repairing roads especially in east lands  areas of Nairobi.

DEFENDING HANDSHAKE

The presidents has also asked politicians to ditch petty politics in and unite towards a prosperous nation.Defending his handshake with NASA leader Raila Odinga in March,the head of state  said that he will not be intimidated by people who are not sharing his vision.”Even on our side as Jubilee one of our pillar from the beginning has been to have a united Kenya,and therefore as for me i will continue to do even more in uniting Kenya,those think that they can intimidate me they better think again ,i can not be intimidated”.he added
