Seven die in a tragic accident along Kitale-Bungoma Road

BY CORRESPONDENT,KITALE,26TH MAY 2018-Seven people died Friday night after a 14 seater matatu they were traveling in collided head on with a cane tractor in Malaki on Kitale-Bungoma road.
Police said 8.30pm accident left five people dead on the spot while two others died on the way to hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred after the matatu heading to Bungoma tried to overtake another vehicle, but collided with the Kitale-bound tractor owned by West Kenya Sugar Company.
The accident occurs just days after six passengers died after their matatu collided with a tractor on the Kitale-Webuye highway in Bungoma.
Residents have urged government erect bumps at the deadly scene which may lead to many people losing their lives.
