BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,24TH MAY 2018-Nandi Hills  member of parliament Alfred Keter   has urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to personally intervene and help in recovering public funds that have been lost in the current wave of corruption  affecting  The National youth service (NYS) National cereals and produce board (NCPB) .Addressing the press on Thursday at the parliament building,Keter who was accompanied by other legislatures from the north rift  says parliament currently has no capacity in investigating such mega corruption cases.

According to him the members of parliaments seems to have been compromised by the executive and are not able any more to stand for what ails the nation.” Even the national assembly speaker himself Justine Muturi recently admitted that the current members of parliament  can no longer fight corruption  and it is high time the president whom i know means well for the country to come forward and give direction on this matter”.he said.

Until now 9billion shillings have been stolen from the National youth service NYS.

Keter also sympathized with  maize farmers  from the north rift region who have remained poor even after having supplied their produce to NCPB and  until now have not been paid.

When i spoke about it in parliament they said am talking baecuse against the jubilee government now the looters are calling the short.he added.

On his part Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi wants Agricultural cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri to step aside after the NCPB scandal.
