BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,5TH MAY 2018-Self-proclaimed NRM general Miguna Miguna has announced that he will return to the country on May 16.
In a tweet on Saturday, the lawyer revealed that he will land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on May 16.
“I AM RETURNING TO KENYA ON MAY 16, 2018. I am a Kenyan citizen by birth. The High Court has ordered Fred Matiangi, GKihalangwa, JBoinnet and Kinoti 13 times to issue me with a valid Kenyan passport and facilitate my return to Kenya as a Kenyan unconditionally,”read the tweet.
This will be his second attempt to return to the country after his second deportation in March.
Miguna’s troubles began after his participation in the swearing-in of opposition Chief Raila Odinga as the people’s president at Uhuru Park on January 30, 2018.
In his unsuccessful return, the outspoken NRM leader Miguna claimed in several posts that he was drugged and shipped to Dubai unconscious.
“I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London. I’m sick. My ribs and body are hurting all over. This is a travesty of justice,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
