BY UPESINEWS REPORTER,24TH APRIL 2018-The ongoing rains continue to cause untold suffering across the country with Turkana County being the worsed hit by the situation.
This is after residents were treated to a rather shocking scene of human bodies exhumed from their graves by flood waters at Napetet village in Lodwar on Tuesday morning even as rains pounded the area.
At least three bodies that were reportedly buried within the last month were swept out of their graves by raging waters from River Kawalesee that had burst its banks.
The bodies were taken to Lodwar Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting fresh burials.
Meanwhile, residents are calling on the county government to relocate them to safer areas as some of them have been left homeless after their houses were swept away.
Elsewhere back in Nairobi, two vehicles were swept away in Ruai while the Murang’a-Kiriani Road was rendered impassable after a mudslide from uphill covered part of the connector road.
The meteorological department has since warned that the heavy rainfall will continue in most parts of the country until end of this week.
