BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,12TH APRIL 2018-The Independent Election and boundaries commission(IEBC) C.E.O Ezra Chiloba on Thursday move to court to sue the commission’s chair Wafula Chebukati after his decision to sent him on a three month compulsory leave.
Chiloba wants the court to issue temporary orders to allow him to resume his duties.
Through lawyer Andrew Wandabwa, Chiloba on Thursday filed the case in which he accuses chairman Wafula Chebukati of failing to follow the law.
According to him , Mr Chebukati did not send him on forced leave in writing.
He specifically faults Mr Chebukati, commissioners Abdi Yakub Guliye and Boya Molu for reaching that decision.
He argues that the decision to send him on compulsory leave was arrived at by only three commissioners, contrary to the law.
He says there must be at least five commissioners to arrive at such a decision.
