More than 62800 candidates who sat for KCSE exams in 2017 to join public universities

BY JOAN WANJIKU,NAIROBI,9TH APRIL 2018-More Than 62,800 candidates who wrote their Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education (KCSE) examination last year will have a chance to join various public universities across the country.
Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed says that of this number, 41 percent are females.
Speaking during the launch of the 2018-2019 university placement cycle at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development on Monday, She indicated that 553 student who qualified for degree courses opted for diploma while 547 were not admitted by choice.
