BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,31ST MARCH 2018-Just a day after ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi  said that Raila Odinga is nolonger NASA leader,Nairobi ODM women leaders have come out to object the position.

Addressing the press at Orange House in Nairobi on Saturday, leaders who were led by their chair lady Catherine Okoth told off those saying Odinga should not remain in NASA since he shook hands with president Uhuru Kenyatta. They say that Odinga was ODM presidential candidate in the August 8   2017 elections  as an affiliate of NASA.

According to them Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who announced his support for thee handshake between president Kenyatta and Odinga should also step aside from NASA.The have added that Odinga was NASA of which without him there was no coalition by that name.”Those calling for Odinga to leave NASA should be first to go since it was Odinga who strengthened the Coalition giving it firm foundation,it was nothing before then”.said Mrs Okoth.

Miguna Miguna intervention

The leaders have also urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to  intervene and have Miguna Miguna back into the country. They  said that had Miguna Miguna not been a Kenyan he would not have been allowed to vie for Nairobi governor position in last year’s election.

They have asked Kenyatta to talk with Inspector general of police   Joseph Boinett as well as interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi to have Miguna returned home.”Our president Uhuru Kenyatta we love you and your are the commander in chief ,you have all the power to order Miguna Miguna back”.Added Mrs Okoth.

The ODM women leaders also want Jubilee party to intervene and stop its supporters to stop inciting NASA supporters in the country a move that they say may again lead to tension that has since cooled down to raise again. They claim that Jubilee supporters especially on social media have been inciting since president Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga met at Harambee house and agreed to unite for the country.

They also wants insults directed towards Odinga to stop.”Odinga is people’s president bwana,he is not just anybody, those abusing him on social media should stop”.she said.
