BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,30TH MARCH 2018-Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was forced to cut shot an address he was giving in a a meeting in Kikuyu Town on Friday,after an angry crowd charged at him.
The governor was shouted down for ordering county Assembly members to be returning officers in committee elections forcing him to flee in a hurry.
Chanting anti-Waititu slogans, the crowd accused MCAs of bias, claiming they would favour their friends.
The meeting had been convened to elect representatives to the Alcoholic Drinks Control Committee.
The angry residents warned that they would go to court to challenge election of new officials should MCAs be used to oversee the exercise.
