BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,13TH MARCH 2018-There was storm in  Parliament on Tuesday afternoon as members spoke  of pain and embarrassment they have to endure  in the hands of one woman who have been sending them nude photos of herself which they say are may easily lead to crumbling of  their marriages.

Garissa Township MP Aden Duale and Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa told Parliament how the woman, whom they did not name, has made them afraid of using their phones saying the contents of her images are an issue.

“There is a lady who has numbers of all MPs and she keeps sending us nude photos,” said Mr. Duale.

Mr. Duale was not alone as his Kiminini counterpart said he too has suffered under the same woman making his marriage life hard.

“Just recently, the same lady sent me something and I tried to open it… the sounds that came out of it made it difficult to speak in my house. This matter is breaking families,” said Mr. Wamalwa.

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed also shared his misfortune narrating  how bad the situation has been for him.

“Some of the pictures I have here are parts of a naked human being, if I show you, you cannot even look with your eyes,” he said to laughter from his colleagues.

Mr. Mohamed said the situation for him is so bad, he fears leaving the phone with his child.

“A situation arises where I am at home and I give my son a phone to play games in the phone and the messages start coming…,” he added.

The issue is not reserved to men alone according to Baringo Woman Representative Kaptuya Cheboiwo.

“Male MPs think they are the ones being seduced alone, even us female MPs are being seduced left, right and center,” she said. “If you have a husband who has weak shock absorbers, you can easily get divorced.”

The issue came up after Murang’a County Woman Representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege complained about conmen who access their contacts from confidential sources in Parliament.

Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wa and Gwasi MP John Mbadi want the police to take over the issue and arrest the culprits.

“We want the security committee to summon the CID and the IG to appear and answer,” said Mr. Ichungwa.

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has since directed the Internal Security Committee to summon the CID boss, Inspector General, Communications Authority director as well as mobile service providers to appear in the next  7 days.
