According to NASA’s strategist David Ndii the decision was taken after wide consultations within the coalition.
Addressing the press at OKOA KENYA offices in Nairobi,Ndii says the move has been taken so as to allow NASA to employ other was of ensuring accountability of national resources.
He has however lamented on the ever increasing incidents of corruption and grabbing of public land as well as misuse of resources for those who hold public office adding that NASA will not seat and watch.”We are in dangerous times when public land is being grabbed corruption is rampant as well as lack of accountability on the part of leaders entrusted by these resources,we can not seat and watch”.He said.
Ndii has also stated that the decision was not taken due do lack of finances.
The national super Alliance NASA last year formed the people’s assembly that were meant to revolutionaries the push for democracy in Kenya .
At the time the opposition was targeting its 19 opposition led counties to adopt the motion.Over 15 counties had already passed the motion towards the formation of the assemblies.
The main agenda of the Assembly was also to push for the restoration of the rule of law, democracy and constitutionalism in Kenya following the disputed October 26 repeat presidential election.
